Japanese inspired
I'm totally addicted to buying fabrics. A lot. From everywhere:) I like US fabric designers like Anna Maria Horner , Heather Bailey , Sandi Henderson or Joel Dewberry . Than I like European textile brands like Oilily, Room Seven, Bizzkids, Hilco, Stenzo and I mainly shop them here .
But lately, I'm obsessed with Japanese fabrics, crafts etc...and I ordered a few prints from that part of the world too.
Sometimes, I buy them to match certain of my wardrobe favourite pieces
I bought this sakura print in brown to match my Sugar morigami boots. I wanted to make a bag to match...well, still haven't:(
But it is on my to do list;)...like other 1000 things to do,LOL.....it's only that when it comes to sew something for me, I always think that I can do it any other moment, and than that moment hardly arrives.
Being Japanese inspired, I'm also planing to do something sweet and neutral...for kids...using whites, beiges and maybe some pale blues...just as touches. I just love that neutral look of linen used in Japanese crafts
I also love those crochet flowers used as details
And I think these will be great for a start;)
I also adore those yummy japanese fabrics like these
or these cupcakes
already used, and will be listed next week on ebay;)
Than, finally, I'm planing to do something fun with these fabric. That's my favourite all times:)
Oilily Kimono Blossom.Yummy!
It's not neutral, but on the contrary very vivid and very eye-catching. But yet, japanese inspired.
:o)

Kalemegdan walk....
This post is about knowing a bit more about the city where I live and places I go. Today was one one the beautiful winter days, with a lot of sun, so we(me with my 3 kiddos) decided to go for a walk. We are very happy to live in the center of the
Belgrade city and have very near us the beautiful park
Kalemegdan.
We made a tour until my favourite point, the view of 2 rivers Sava and Danube "meeting" each other.
As the fortress Kalemegdan has a very long history, going back at least to the castrum of Roman times, it has some beautiful Roman ruins and amazing views. It is very large and has even the Zoo park within, even being situated in the center of the 2 million habitants city,LOL;)The Victor statue(behind my DD Marta) is the symbol of Belgrade.
Bianka(my youngest, 10 monts old)was sleeping, boozed by the fresh air:)
There are a lot of sparrows everywhere
And this is the spot where the park finishes and the street where we live starts....
Wow, this was a long picturesque post.Enjoy!

Ebay strike
I decided to join a very large group of Ebay sellers that will be supporting the
Ebay strike and will not be listing/buying on ebay through 18-25 February...some even beyond, but the good thing is that we will be doing the Etsy blackout launch in that period...and beyond;)
If you would like to join our Etsy group(on Yahoo), just click here
I will try to list some stuff during this weekend in Etsy store
Have a wonderful weekend!

Mermaids
My daughter Marta loves to draw, as every kid, I suppose, but lately she likes to watch
the Australian TV Serial"H2O just add the water" and as result, she is making this kind of drawings
So, maybe I will try to do my version of hers drawings and make of it something that I saw
here on Molly's blog.

Cupcake mania
A few months ago, after Gymboree launched theirs Cupcake cutie line, I became totally obsessed with cupcakes,LOL!
We don't have any Gymboree store(sneef, sneef) neither in my country and neither in Italy(where we are going very offten, as my hubby is Italian;), but thanks to internet and ebay, it's easy to do a few clicks on-line and receive some favourite items.
So, as I'm also obsessed with fabrics, I tried to get the cutest cupcake fabric and my result was this
I payed more than 20 $ per yard, but when I saw it, I simply had to have it!It is an Japanese imported fabric, 100 % cotton and is TDF!
I ordered it in red and pink;) and started creating this set in red
and this one in pink
I also made some fabric buttons from scraps
Of course, I will do some hair goodies and 2 of the red ones I sew on the back part of the halter bodice part...of the red set
Well, the sets are still unfinished, as I'm doing a special costume for a special customer as priority for her BD, but will hopefully finish them soon and list them on Ebay;)
