Back home and doing the commercial
We are back and literally straight from the airport, we headed to the place where Marta and Pablo were engaged to do the commercial for the new milk coming soon by Imlek, called "Bello"(in my language BELO is the name for WHITE as well).
My sister is the stage designer (you can visit her website HERE ) and she is doing many commercials, very often. So we had the occasions many times in the past to get the kids doing the lil' actors roles, but we never wanted to have them suffer after hours of hard work and trials, so we never did any, until this time.
This time was different, because Marta wanted to be engaged in the commercial, she almost begged my sister to be taken, so my sister applied her and Pablo for this one.
The place where they were filming, was one incredible huge and beautiful old house, builded in 1936. with very authentic furniture and beautiful garden spreading all over the house.
The kids actually enjoyed the day, even being forced to stay there from 10 at the morning till 10 at the evening. But between the scenes, they could play outside, as there were 8 kids in total.
First to "act" was Pablo, and here is my sister taking him to "place".
This is from the inside, but they were filming outside...he was supposed to be sad, as the commercial idea is that the kids are awaken in the gloomy and rainy morning, and turning to be very happy after, at the moment when is the "milk time".
...producing the rain....
In the meantime, the hair stylist was doing the hair to Marta.
The producer and the director were totally in awe about Marta's sort of expressions while they were telling her what to do and how to pretend.
She was great.
The funny thing was when the director said how incredible and fantastic is she doing all the expressions - just like she had some sort of the experience in modeling or similar......LOL....if he only knew or could browse through my pics......
Well, that's all for now, I need to do some house works and than I will have my giveaway winner posted for the next post as it will be my 100rd as well:)
I also have some great news regarding one "Like flowers and butterflies" journal feature and will show off some pics from Italy:)

And finally SPRING:)
New life budding everywhere!!!! We are finally seeing, feeling and "tasting" spring everywhere around. It finally smells like spring as well:)
My designs are absolutely confirming that and I was so thrilled to be able to go to the garden and take some shoots outside, on Marta-with short sleeves:)
I had the wonderful opportunity to work on this custom orders, that I called "Spring garden", using the delicious fabrics by Erin McMorris.
Lots of ruffles, and reversible apron with swing on the trees applique:) I just LOVE how it turned out:)
We are leaving on Friday, so I'm busy working on another custom order including many yummy fabrics, mainly Amy Butler and the paper boy style hat. I haven't make one as far, but it was the perfect chance to try figuring the Japanese book pattern for that style of the hat. Love it!!!!It was easy to follow and make.
Stay tuned for the give away post tomorrow:)

Earthquake in L'Aquila
Today is the very sad day for Italy. There was the very strong Earthquake (6.3 on the Richter scale) in the centaral Italy, near Rome, with the epicentre close to the city of L'Aquila.
More than 150 people have been killed and more than 50.000 made homeless.
The area around L'Aquila has been the scene of intense earthquake activity since October. There was another smaller tremor around midnight which measured 4.6 on the Richter scale. L'Aquila is a picturesque medieval town and has been hit by severe tremors twice before, in 1461 and 1703. Both times the city was virtually destroyed.
An italian Seismologist, Gioacchino Giuliani, predicted a serious earthquake and warned that "a big one" was on the way and even toured the region in a van with loudspeakers warning people, as late as last week. But he was reported to the police by authorities for "needlessly spreading panic" and also dismissed by L'Aquila's mayor and other civic officials. Dr Giuliani based his theory on increasingly high levels of radon gas that had been noted in the area and even posted his findings on his website. However, he was forced to take them down and the site has not been working.
Thanks god, all our family and friends are safe.
My prayers and thoughts go out to the victims, families, friends and rescue teams.
