Mikser 2011.

Mikser 2011, ("the biggest Southeast European festival of creativity and innovation) was great mixture of design and fun, as always, and aside some weather problems and total disaster regarding organization involving Mikser Bazar , I had a great time:)

Spacial visualization of the characters as the basis for the set design

It was the Master thesis that my sister, Jelena successfully asserted today, at European Center for Culture and Debate GRAD , regardless the fact that the center was without the electricity at that moment that caused minor problems for the explanation and show off of her work.









All congrats goes to my younger sister that, together with her friend Jovana is standing behind production and set designs for many Serbian popular commercials, TV shows and a few films. You can see more of theirs work by visiting theirs site: SCENOGRAFSKI STUDIO

Rainy day

It is pretty gloomy these past few days/weeks here...they say that from tomorrow me may see some snow, which is somehow better than rain;)





Yesterday, while going to see the 45. Golden Pen BELGRADE - 10. International Biennial exhibition of ILLUSTRATIONS, held at Pavilion Cvijeta Zuzorić, Kalemegdan park , Belgrade, I had the chance to enjoy some incredible views of the nature during the rainy day. And while it was freezing and wet, and not so pleasant to stay outside, it was just something about the gloomy atmosphere or about that incredible smell of the pine trees all around, that somehow make me feel happy. Or maybe it was just the solely moment in my life, having the time to dedicate it to myself and to what I love (after the family-that don't counts, of course:) most-art.



The exhibition is great, one of those MUST SEE for sure, and I feel sorry that I didn't have time to make some illustrations lately, and therefore couldn't submit them for this exhibition. But I was delighted to see some great illustrations made by my friends and colleagues and from some foreign illustrators.

Pre FALL

Can hardly believe that the autumn is just behind the corner...like next week already!!!
I'm slowly getting back into the swing of the things after summer Holidays, trying to catch on each day life's insanity "normality".
I have started sewing some fall clothes, mainly for Marta and some of her friends.



I made some nice peach homemade juice and jam.



We have celebrated 10 years of marriage and yesterday, we have been at the opening of my mom's exhibition(she is a ceramic artist;)





She did a great work, combining ceramic and melting glass. If you live in Belgrade, you might want to visit Mala Galerija ULUPUDS-a , it will be opened till 29. September. I have uploaded some pics of her work, that I used while making the catalog for the ehxibition and you can see them HERE

Take away Fashion

Last Saturday of the last Year, I had the pleasure to participate into New Year's edition of Take away Fashion.





The pleasure wouldn't be so overwhelming if it wasn't for my first meeting with such a sweetheart Zorica "filzlaus" . She lives in Austria, but she is born and grew up here, so we had our little 4 hours chit-chat in our language, which was great. You can see all the beautiful things she make and sells in her blog, flickr, da wanda and etsy shop.





The event lasted from 12-22 h so I must say that after 10 hours in pretty low outside temperature( -3 C that is 27 Fahrenheit ), that caused also low traffic inside, I just couldn't wait to pack and go to the warm place called home.

I have prepared so many things to show (and sell:), but unfortunately the space we had in disposal wasn't very handy for all that, so many lovely things remained just "unseen", which sort of gave me the lesson to maybe try to organize my own personal exhibition in the future......which will be one of the early goals for the 2009.;)





I uploaded the bracelets here and the tulle skirts here at the bottom of the page, and have edited the pics for some clippies and headbands yesterday and wanted to upload them today, but my hubby had the thrilling news for me this morning-our major computer disc carrying so many pics regarding all my work-even the graphics, sketches etc(which is the most important) had gone literally to fire(even having the best cooler) yesterday evening, so I will have to strongly hope that it is only the cable thing and not something to do with all the data etc:(
