Skopelos blog tour - part III

#Repost @artgalleryfabrics #SkopelosFabrics by #katarinaroccella💗#AGF #ArtGalleryFabrics #WeAreFabrics

The Skopelos blog tour has come to it's end :(
It has been such an amazing experience and I enjoyed seeing all the incredible projects popping up.

Please don't forget to visit :
part I
part II
to see all the amazing stuff.

Good morning! It's Paul of @evildemondevildog turn to showcase his outstanding work on the #skopelostourgiveaway hop! Here's the fancy fence shot of not one, but four pieces he created from #skopelosfabrics 😍 I will post each of them in separa

So lets do the final, part III overview.

I was so lucky to have one man on this tour, so talented Paul Hallinger of EvilDemonDevildog Quilts. I was introduced to his stunning work while promoting my Indelible line. Paul was so sweet to use the fabrics I sent him to smallest pieces and so he created not one, but 4 qulits. He was inspired with a wonderful book titled A Quilter’s Mixology by Angela Pingel. Two quilts are quilted by long arm quilter Sue : the swirls and curves helped to embody the island in the sea.
There is a lot more behind his inspiration and work, so be sure to check it directly on his blog ;)

.

Sharon McConnell of Color girl Quilts made a throw size quilt using blocks from her Jumping Jacks pattern.

April Rhodes created this stunning little dress for her adorable daughter in knit.

Jane Dividson of Quilt Jane made this outstanding quilt, contrasting the Pure element Nocturnal background, with some Skopelos prints, where the paper pieced design reflects the geometric patterns found in ancient greek art and architecture. Finished quilt size : 29" x 29". Quilted with Aurifil 1248 50wt cotton with a dense geometric pattern.

I hope that you enjoyed seeing all the Skopelos fabric projects.
If you are a flickr user, please add your projects to my flickr group featuring this fabric line. Or for some more inspiration, be sure to browse through the gorgeous LOOK BOOK that Art Gallery fabrics has created.
Huge THANK YOU to all my wonderful makers that make this blog hop not only possible, but so outstanding and inspiring!!!

Skopelos blog tour, part I

The first week of Skopelos blog tour has come to its end and I am so excited to do this blog post, previewing beautiful creations of amazing makers/bloggers that took part of it.

Lynne Goldsworthy of Lily's quilts created this gorgeous quilt, made of paper pieced diamonds and will appear in the quilting magazine Quilt Now later this year, so you will be able to make your own version with this great pattern.

She mixed Skopelos fabrics with some of the navies, corals and aquas from Recollection collection  and with some Art Gallery Grapefruit pure elements which is a pale coral colour.   The quilt is an explosion of all the colours of summer both on the back and the front of the quilt.

Up close you can see more of the Grapefruit Pure Elements used to frame the diamonds as well as the  prints from both Skopelos and Recollection.  She quilted it with a diamond cross hatch following the lines of the coral diamonds and using a  cream 50wt Aurifil thread.

Allegory Lanham of A 1000 needles choose to play with eight of the prints from Skopelos against Pure Elements in Mystic Grey, using her own block pattern design which she named Pirouette.
That lighter grey plays really well with the deep navy and magenta while still giving the low volume prints a chance to shine.

Erica Toole of Skynme2 created 2 gorgeous bags using Swoon patterns:

Charlotte City Tote and Vivian Traveler

Rachael Gander of Imagine gnats made a wonderful whole cloth duvet style quilt using the main floral print and adding some special touches with Aurifloss - little hand-stitched X’s. She has a tutorial for this duvet on her blog, so be sure to check it out, as well as many other gorgeous pics of it.

Amy Friend created the Anna Blouse that is beautifully finished with french seams and details like bias binding and the key hole. Amy highly recommends the pattern and pairing it with voile, just like she did.

Marija Vujčić of Fabric of my life used a sweet Sugar and spice dress pattern to create this stunning girlie dress for her granddaughter who will be one in a few days!

And last, but certainly not the least for this first blog post is this magnificent quilt by Dana Bolyard of Old Red Barn Co that used 10 prints and two coordinating solids from the line. Using a 1/2 yard of each, she cut 288 5"x5" squares and sewed them in a totally random fashion, making a twin sized quilt measuring 67.5"x 85.5".

Hope that you feel inspired and that you already chose or will be choosing your favourite project and repost it in the Instagram #Skopelostourgiveaway pool for your chance to win the half yard cuts of the entire collection!!! I will randomly choose the winner from the hashtag pool on May 6th!! If you are not on Instagram, don't worry, there will be another giveaway during this upcoming week on the Art Gallery fabrics blog, so be sure to follow up ;)

Freebies: watercolor social media icons - buttons

social media watercolor buttons
Instead of writing another post in a row about my very , first licensed fabric collection I thought to do some blog updates and changes and therefore I had a need for some cute social media buttons....so I created some and thought to share them with you :)
So, you are free to use them for your personal blogs, websites and social networks, but you can not sell them! So please play fair and spread the word!!!

tweet icon message icon instagram iconAGF love icon

pinterest iconflickr iconfacebook iconetsy icon

And to make my fabric family on just one click away from me, I created this special "AGF love" button and linked it to theirs site, so that I don't miss any updates and news, how neat is that?

You can upload them separately from my flickr account in a very good resolution, in different sizes by clicking on them.
There are many free tutorials on how to insert them on your blog, depending on the blogging platform that you are using and the social media/button that you need.
Or you can maybe use this video that will show you how to do it. Let me know in the comments if you are having any problem with downloading them and I will be happy to send you the embed code or url link.
