Buy, buy 2013 - Welcome 2014!!

Happy New Year everyone!!!
Hope that this 2014 will ROCK!
I just did a little flickr mosaic with some pics from 2013 and it's so fun to see what have we been up to in 2013!!!



We attended some great events, exhibitions and shows - and luckily, some of them were held in our street ;)


We did a lot of designing, (especially fabric designing), crafting, sewing, photographing, painting, eating, filming, dancing and we went back to school!!! 
When I say WE - I mean me and my family (because without them and without all the support I have in all the aspects, I wouldn't be able to make neither half of the things)
We did a lot of tutorials this year, and this is something that I am most proud of and I hope to create a line of my own PDF patterns soon...that's my 2014 resolution!



In 2013 I wanted to create some quilts, and I did that (and I am so proud of the two quilts I made) and can't wait to make some more in 2014!!!



I have really big plans for this year and I hope that I will be able to realize them!

Home, sweet home

As this is the first post in the 2012 I am wishing you a Happy New Year everyone!!!!I hope this one brings many beautiful things, joy and happiness to all!
So, the Holidays are over and we are happily nested in our house after being away for more than 2 weeks. Here are some pics from our Xmas and New Year's eve.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

First of all, I wanted to THANK you all for participating in my Giveaway organized by Sew mama sew. I wish I could send something to each of you, but you can see the names of 4 lucky ones, chosen by Random, in my previous post. The parcels are already on theirs way to the winners, so I am all set;) I've enjoyed reading your comments and I will certainly do this again, I think that the next one is in May.











I think that the boys ties were the most wanted item and I think that many of you will love my upcoming tutorial for them:) I hope it can be a present from me to you as well:)
I made so many ties last week and the SHOP is loaded.
For the girls, I made many hair clips and other Xmasy items and now I can think about packing, as we are going to Italy to spend the Holidays with my husband's family.

In 2011.

We are back home and ready to move on:)
We had a wonderful New Years eve, being blessed to share those moments with my DH's family in Italy.





Just like the last year, for me it is both hard and joyful to start the New Year, thinking about what it will bring.
I hope that it will bring happiness, wealth and peace not only to me and my family, but to everyone in this world. I also hope that I will be able to fulfill some ideas, dreams and plans for this year too.




And for the start, it is so great to know that some things, planned 2 years ago are slowly but certainly coming to life.
My best friend is finally opening the shop. The name is WannaBe and Toy, as we decided to share the things for the little ones that will not only be clothes, but toys too. The shop is quite big and as I will not be able to cover all the clothing corner, we decided to import one of my favorite European kids brands, which is Mim-Pi.
We already ordered the new spring/summer collection (sizes 4-10 years) and it is coming in February. How great is that?
We are planning a big opening on March 1st, but you will be informed and invited, of course:)



I am working on my first own collection too (I had the name "Capri" in mind for this first collection for such a long time) and hope to share some sneak peeks here soon.
I will be using mainly Tanya Whelan's fabrics, so it will be whimsy and girly with a shabby chic vintage twist.

The beginning

After a week of festivities, here I found myself...at the beginning.
2010 sounds a bit surreal to me and both, frightened and happy I'm looking forward to meet new challenges, goals and activities;)))



I have some great plans in the pocket regarding my ornaments , my clothing line and also some other designs, and I hope that at least one part of this will see the light in this New Year.



The pics above are some of those 2010 new designs. The dictionary bird is a sample of my upcoming designs regarding the 2010 ornaments. You can find some of them in my IwannaBE etsy store and I have even realized my idea of the US production of 5 of my DOILY ornaments shapes , so: deer, bambi, bird, rabbit and seahorse are ready to ship from MD, from my friend, Shawnta as she is helping me with this and I am so grateful to her for all the help. Thank you so much sweetie!!!
I have also managed to list some new scarfs over there and will list some more soon too;)







A new dress designs will be listed in my other Flowersnbutterflies etsy shop today and I am working on some new clippies too;)



The great new thing is that some of my creations can now be found locally(and so very near to my house which is just great:) at the Supermarket Concept store and I am so pleased that I can finally refer many convos I received in the past about the availability of my designs locally, to that fantastic place;) It is a melange of fashion and sneakers, books and flowers, food and drinks, cosmetics and gadgets, even spa-services, everything branded and exclusive. I am so happy and honoured to be included:)))It is one of those places that you must visit if coming to Belgrade and it is highly recommended by many international travel operators and magazines.

Take away Fashion

Last Saturday of the last Year, I had the pleasure to participate into New Year's edition of Take away Fashion.





The pleasure wouldn't be so overwhelming if it wasn't for my first meeting with such a sweetheart Zorica "filzlaus" . She lives in Austria, but she is born and grew up here, so we had our little 4 hours chit-chat in our language, which was great. You can see all the beautiful things she make and sells in her blog, flickr, da wanda and etsy shop.





The event lasted from 12-22 h so I must say that after 10 hours in pretty low outside temperature( -3 C that is 27 Fahrenheit ), that caused also low traffic inside, I just couldn't wait to pack and go to the warm place called home.

I have prepared so many things to show (and sell:), but unfortunately the space we had in disposal wasn't very handy for all that, so many lovely things remained just "unseen", which sort of gave me the lesson to maybe try to organize my own personal exhibition in the future......which will be one of the early goals for the 2009.;)





I uploaded the bracelets here and the tulle skirts here at the bottom of the page, and have edited the pics for some clippies and headbands yesterday and wanted to upload them today, but my hubby had the thrilling news for me this morning-our major computer disc carrying so many pics regarding all my work-even the graphics, sketches etc(which is the most important) had gone literally to fire(even having the best cooler) yesterday evening, so I will have to strongly hope that it is only the cable thing and not something to do with all the data etc:(
