A few new designs and a resell

As I haven't shared properly any new recent design, I thought this could be a good opportunity to do that:)





While being in Italy, I just couldn't resist not buying some of this season's "must have" embellishments for making hair accessories, especially feathers and feathered butterflies.

















Some of these cuties are already available in the shop , and you can see other new accessories by browsing through my flickr album.



Also, I got the sweet notice yesterday from a dear customer about selling one of my designs , made for her beautiful DD, 2 years ago, in size 2T and you might check it out HERE .
It was the Ginger Blossom gaucho set , that was exhibited at The Museum of Applied Art and you can read more about that HERE.

Summer dresses

These are my favourite summer dresses. Easy to wear, comfy, breezy and yet so girly, twirly and eye-catching.







I have added a small cute detail-button pin, to add to any part of the dress you like best:)



And another thing...we can finally twirl!!!!!!



...and jump too:) Oh, how fun!!!!

And finally SPRING:)

New life budding everywhere!!!! We are finally seeing, feeling and "tasting" spring everywhere around.It finally smells like spring as well:)





My designs are absolutely confirming that and I was so thrilled to be able to go to the garden and take some shoots outside, on Marta-with short sleeves:)


I had the wonderful opportunity to work on this custom orders, that I called "Spring garden", using the delicious fabrics by Erin McMorris.
Lots of ruffles, and reversible apron with swing on the trees applique:) I just LOVE how it turned out:)



















We are leaving on Friday, so I'm busy working on another custom order including many yummy fabrics, mainly Amy Butler and the paper boy style hat. I haven't make one as far, but it was the perfect chance to try figuring the Japanese book pattern for that style of the hat. Love it!!!!It was easy to follow and make.

The things that makes me happy

Of course, beside or after my family, that always comes first;)

I recently had the request from one of my customers to make the wedding dress in black/white for her 5 years old daughter.
I must say that I was firstly confused with black wedding fact, but than I thought that it is original and different.....


So after I finally found some beautiful sumptuous black silk fabrics with silver embroidery(which wasn't such an easy task and it was good that silver could work instead of white), coordinating trims, beads and other details, I started creating the set.....my starting point was the GOLD antique dress I made a few moths ago and selling here.
Somehow, those days there was the film on the TV about Coco Channel's life and must say that I was inspired, with her evolution of hat as the detail and inevitable piece of women's look those days.....and all those minimal black and white dresses she made, and those beads, being great companion to her creations....

Well, here is what I made










and here are some pics I edited a bit in the photoshop, playing with background and layers, obtaining that vintage like look;)

My sweet customer, received the dress/set only after 7 days(WOW!!!)and here is her letter I've just received

HELLO...GUESS WHAT...SOMEONE TODAY RECEIVED THE MOST LOVELY BLACK DRESS EARLY...YES...MY DAUGHTER LOVED IT...WE WERE SOO EXCITED THAT I HAD MY MOM AND THE MOTHER OF THE BRIDE COME OVER...SHE NEVER EVEN NOTICE IT WAS SILVER AND BLACK INSTEAD OF WHITE AND BLACK...THEY THOUGHT IT WAS THE CUTEST THING EVER...AND YES THE LAYERS WAS WHAT SHE WANTED AND IT WAS FORMAL...I JUST HAVE TO THANK YOU FOR THE LOVELY NECKLACE...IT IS JUST AS AWESOME...MY DAUGHTER LOOKS TOO CUTE IN THE HAT...EVEN WITH HER HAIR NOT FIXED...SHE LOOKED LIKE A PRINCESS...I WANT TO THANK YOU...IT WAS EVEN BETTER THAN THE PICTURES...WOW!!!! A++++ THANKS...LOVED DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU...I WILL BE BACK...THANKS AGAIN...I REALLY CAN NOT THANK YOU ENOUGH...THANK YOU!!!!!!!
