Snowy

Hey everyone! We are finally into real winter here, and seeing all white through the windows is somehow so strange to me. But beautiful to look at. :)

 

Obviously, kids are really happy about the possibility to enjoy  some activities on the snow, at last.

I am working on some new, exciting projects and can't wait to share them with you!

Icicles

I LOVE snow. I don't like winter generally, but snow is just the part of the winter I cherish most. But, snow in the big city is not much fun, except if going to Kalemegdan or in similar green places.

And after snow, yet, there are some beautiful dangerous and magical snow creations, mainly icicles that can be found and admired, even in the city....

Let it snow....

Alere Modern

At the very beginning of this month, Alere Modern was opened. More than a year ago, I had a pleasure to chat with it's founder, adorable Caitlin when she said: "I found your work today and just love your animal and snowflake cut-outs. They're so beautiful. I am imagining having a house full of the snowflakes in the winter. It would be wonderful!"



Well, for those dreaming about White Christmas, I think that my snowflakes cuts can contribute in creating the magic:)

Last year, we didn't make it in time to decorate the Supermarket concept store Window, creating a bit of magic with my snowflakes, but hopefully this year we can try to do it:)

Snow

We are still in winter. Full time......it seems that this winter will last forever. And I really like snow. Especially to look at: in all the forms and I truly enjoy the snow creations.











But I suppose that this winter is over...finally.....and even that I was longing to make some more winterish pics(it is crazy how sometimes snow is melting so fast and even the moment of time to take the camera and shoot, the view changes:(, I think that I am ready for spring:)

Dear Santa

As each year, Marta(almost 9 years old) wrote a letter to Santa (still not quite sure for how many years more?) with hers wishes. The funny thing was, that this time, she has 2 corrections-letters....Actually, after seeing some new commercials featuring new toys she "realized" that she has forgotten to add some toys to the previous lists, LOL;)





Remember this post , just few days ago....well, they(the meteorologists) were right and we saw some snow. But not only it started snowing, but it literally never stopped till maybe today. Today was so very cold and under 0 and than in 2 days the temperature will be like in spring!!!!Weird and yuck!!! So, we took advantage of this snow time and did some "snow activities" these days:))) Marta is officially on Vacation, for 3 weeks so I hope that we will be able to enjoy some more "snow time" ahead.

Wishing you all a very special Valentines!!!!Today here, instead of Valentines, it's St.Trifun Saint Tryphon day, the saint guardian of wine and wine growers.



We are totally under the snow here and seems that the winter is back.....

In and out(side)

While I'm waiting praying for our disc to be eventually fixed, I've been doing some calligraphy work....well not really writing, but rather drawing the letters to make some diplomas for one cultural institution, here in Belgrade.





This is something I've been doing since being the student at the Academy and calligraphy is one of the reasons I wanted to attend the Graphic department. Now days, unfortunately, computer fonts are substituting the hand writing and I'm not having the chance very often to use some of my skills, that I'm found of very much;)



I like this process of preparing everything, from copying the letters till filling them with ink, than glue and finally adding some "gold leaves"(used for saint icons and fresco paintings) to obtain a bit of old, relief, vintage like, patina look











Marta loves it as well, always being very faithful follower;)



As the kids are still on Vacation and outside is still very cold and snowy, I'm also trying to take some time and take them to the garden of my mom's place, where the snow is always clean....



They enjoy playing for some 30 minutes, after which period becomes impossible to stay...





Yesterday night, Marta and I, have been watching the snowboard event, hosted in our street, Kapetan Misina, just a few meters under our building.
