Esoterra

As the Esoterra lookbook is finally out, I can't be happier to share with you some amazing projects and creations that AGF team and some incredible makers were able to put together!

This first quilt is the free quilt pattern, that I created and named Amber. Amber quilt pattern (can be downloaded HERE) is inspired with the diamond shapes from the Ambered bugs print.

All the beautiful items that can be seen above are created by Elina Temmes and pics are her courtesy as well :) The pattern for the gorgeous slippers from the picture can be found in the Tilda's house book, while the Flowermania pattern can be found Here.

There are many beautiful quilts in the lookbook, and "Travels to Esoterra" by Marija Vujčić is one of them. She's working on the free tutorials for the other items that she created with Esoterra, that should be available soon.

I love this beautiful "Clever girl" dress by Gwyneth LaSpina that is a mash up of Sweet Agnes swing top dress and T-shirt dress.

I love this Dino plush (pattern by Wooly petals) and looks like a great gift-giving idea ;)

This beautiful "Jungle Flight"quilt by Sara Diepersloot (quilted by Jeffery Yasenchok) can be found through Modern Handmade.

I love what Becca Plymale created for her adorable son and I will definitely sew one these classic oxford button-up shirt for my son and rough-n-tumble pants look great too!

Cassie Nicole made this stunning knit dress for her daughter that has a great twirlability ;)

Amazing Adventuring messenger bag and Malcolm quilt are created by Sarah Overton :)

Probably my favourite bomber jacket in my favourite print from the collection :)

Beautiful Triassic Triangles quilt by Elise Baek looks so fresh and colorful!

I wish I have a toddler in my life to make him this outstanding hoodie jacket by Hello dear kids!!

Last, but certainly not the least is this stunning modern quilt by Paola Baker (pattern can be found in Simply Modern Christmas book by Cindy Lammon)

There are many more projects in the look book, so I hope that you will find something for yourself and/or other dino lovers in your life!!!

Retro robots and dinosaur fabric plush toys

Robot fabric toys

funky retro robots -cut and sew template-patternMy latest soft toys are finally sewn and I can't be happier with the results:) It takes a lot of time from uploading the design to Spoonflower till receiving the actual fabric, sewing and photographing it. But I love all the process stages (except the long shipping time). However, the moment that fills my heart with joy is when the toy is all finished and when I ask my kids for the opinion and ask them to choose some for themselves.

These robots are quite big, like 40 cm (16") tall and can be also cushions. I have managed to list some in my etsy shop and can't wait to make some more. And there are some Dino toys as well, all settled down already;)
They are created with my original watercolor artwork (that are available as variety of fabrics too) and have very nice, hand drawn texture.

Dino fun

I am sure that some of you following my blog, know very well that my son is totally obsessed with Dinosaurs. I think that the only thing that he don't like about them is that they are gone and that they don't exist anymore. And each time we have to see and visit some Dino related stuff and exhibition, he would ask - "But will there be real Dinosaurs?"
Anyway, this image above is the black and white and very stylized version of the Watercolor drawing I made during this summer for the tee shirts, that will be very soon available in the shop. He loves it. And I can't wait to have them. I will certainly have the little giveaway here as soon as they will be ready.

dinosaur exhibition, fall 2011

We visited the Dino exhibition organized here, in Belgrade, at UŠĆE, near the Museum of Modern Art and it was very nice. There were 52 life-sized dinosaurs at 16,000 square meters and were made under strict control of experts from Paleontological Institute from Hanover, Germany.

Beside the dinos, it is lovely to see and enjoy all those yellowish fall leaves, isn't it? More yellowish loveliness in my next post;)

Dino sets

dinos

Spring has arrived and it's blooming all over.

I created some boys sets for the shop with MM dino fabric and made the appliqued tee shirts to match.

I've tried to make some of these "paper boys style hats" , but I had some issues and I think that I will probably rather go for the simple hats:).

Happy springing!:)

Dinosaur exhibition

tiranosaurus

Five years after its first outing, the Dinosaurs of Argentina exhibition has reached Serbia, at the Continental Hotel in New Belgrade.

We have visited the exhibition yesterday and the kids were thrilled.

carnotaurus

Among the most attractive exhibits are the complete skeletons of seven dinosaurs, including a 14-meter-long gigantosaurus from the Cretaceous period and a 17-meter long rebbachisaurus, a herbivore from the same period. The Belgrade exhibition also featured a premiere: a nine-meter megaraptor, with 50cm-claws.

Besides complete skeletons, there are exhibited various skeleton parts, dinosaur eggs, nests, and footprint replicas, and kids could take part in various workshops.

making a puzzle

Of course, Marta was thrilled to take part in the drawing workshop....they had to draw a dinosaur or anything else that they saw/learned here.
