Mikser 2013

MIKSER is the biggest regional festival of creativity, it is the multidisciplinary event, that combines a fair design, talent area, interdisciplinary educational conference, art shows and summer music festival. It's always nice to enjoy at least some of the events;)

Since last year, they made quite a difference with relocating the festival from the industrial setting of Žitomlin production facility to one of the oldest neighborhoods in Belgrade – Savamala. This marked a change in the program structure, as the festival is now being scattered over a number of locations, instead of just one.
And looking at my previous entries regarding Mikser, I just realized that was enabled to attend it, as I was very busy doing something more important (and can't wait to share more of it soonish)

Mikser 2011.

Mikser 2011, ("the biggest Southeast European festival of creativity and innovation) was great mixture of design and fun, as always, and aside some weather problems and total disaster regarding organization involving Mikser Bazar , I had a great time:)
It is hard to choose a few pics (among more than 150) to present this great mixture, but here are a few, just to give you the idea:)

It's that time of the year again and I am so excited to take part even this year, at Mikser bazar within Mikser festival.

"Mikser festival in cooperation with KC Grad and "Takeaway Fashion" are
announcing Mikser Bazaar-modern market, where young designers will exhibit and sell their own hand-made products. In addition to clothing, shoes, bags and jewelry, the call goes to the designers of furniture, lamps and home items. But, Bazaar Mikser is not open only to the celebrated fashion artisans, it is actually a unique space for exchange of creative valuables - records, books, vintage clothing, grandfather and grandmother medals, tapestries, jewelry, photography...


Mixer Festival will be held from 25 to 29 May in the industrial zone of Belgrade in Žitomlin silos at the Lower Dorcol

A few things I created for Mikser

Can hardly believe that I am having 3 posts in 3 days!!!The thing is that Marta has been away with her school for one week (they took them to Zlatibor where they had a great time) and she will be back any minute:)))))...so I suppose that I will be blogging once, twice a week, as usual:)



So here I am posting some new cool stuff I made for Mikser-Gradstor purpose, thinking about young people, music festivals, summer, travel etc.



I found these small cases very useful for handling small things, such as MP3 players, iPods, cell phones, money and similar stuff. I have been thinking about the pattern that wouldn't be too much a hassle to sew (talking about the small pieces gathering together) and yet nice to see and comfortable/versatile to wear. Also, that can be for man too (well I suppose not all of the styles I made;)





As the Mikser is almost over, you can find them for sale (locally) at Gradstor store, Belgrade or on the net , in my flowersnbutterflies ETSY store.

Mikser 2010. - Gradstor
