Mermaids

I finally managed to list something on eBay. Not the dress that could be seen in progress in the previous post, but some very interesting and unique pieces I made in collaboration with Rachel of MydeepblueC. Her work is just impecable and I'm so happy that I had the chance to work with her and purchase one pair of her beautifuly hand embellished jeans for Marta:).

t1

j6They fit perfectly and are so unique.
The fabric line we used is the Mendocino line by
Heather Ross featuring mermaids, seahorses, squids, octopi large and small, and we choosed the gorgeous send and aqua palette in colors of earth, redwood forests, sand beaches, sky and sea. And for those reading my blog, it is well known how much I love that colour combo:)

w1
Of course, my granny gave hers contribution to the versatibility of this small collection, by knitting the warmy/cozy necktie and hand warmers and I embellished them with the fabric buttons.
So cute!!!! I especially love this brooch pin

I started creating this set, inspired with gorgeous trims I found and of course the quilting squares;)

And must say that all that loveliness I ruined again with making the mistake on selecting the ISO on my camera...ughhhh!!!! I have placed my ISO to 1600 instead of auto, which is usually 200-400 at that type of light....So I got all that grainy pics...when I realized that, we went back to the garden to redo, but it was already 4.30 pm and getting already dark(2 weeks ago we had that changing of time in one hour forward). So many pics are dark and noisy:(

Also, I've relisted 2 Christmas listings, but you have all the links at the side bar.....

Enjoy the week,

On the way to the market

...just another ordinary day....

reflections

bianka After Marta goes to school(7.50 am) and Pablo to the kindergarten(sometimes around 9 am), Bianka and I usually go for a walk. Sometimes we go to the park, sometimes we do some shopping in the center's stores and at least one in a week we go to the market to buy some goodies;).

me

Market is very near, as all the rest of the most important stores and facilities, and this is one of the big advantages when living in the center of the city and I love it:)
I really can't imagine how it would be if I would need to take the car to do any of these things, and really prefer doing it all just walking:)

Anyway, yesterday, going to the market I happen to have my camera in the bag and took advantage of it by taking some pictures. Just the ordinary pics of the things I see and strongly admire everytime I pass by there....just some beautiful, mainly vintage and old windows, gates and structures.....having that "abandoned" or "wish you were here" or "nostalgic" sort of look, that is like talking to me and always influencing my inspiration even regarding kids clothes(I very often spot the place and than imagine in what sort of the creation Marta would look best taken in front of it,LOL).....

Belgrade and especially the center area where we live, that is called Stari grad is full of very contrasted things, and even regarding the architecture(that is sometimes very ugly view), having some very old and small and some freshly new and tall buildings one beside another...just like you can see the view from our balcony

Well, here are some pics...

here you can see our balcony behind that beautiful old building.

2 Also, for those reading my blog, this gate may be familiar when taking the pics of my Antique GOLD dress and in the backyard there are those beautiful stairways.

I so wish that in front of this beautiful wooden gate there wasn't the iron gate that is always closed and therefore impossible to enter:(

Well, I think it is enough.....
So if you ask me what was the purpose of going to the market, I will tell you that I bought some great food for the stomach and lunch and also, some food for the head(some great laces and stuff).

And for many of you asking me if I'm preparing something for the Holidays, as it is quite a lot that I'm not listing anything, the answer is YES, and you can see some sneak peaks just and only here;)...the dress is an OOAK and will be offered only once.

Dinosaur BD party

Pablo turned 4 on 25 October.
We had a great BD party held in one very near to our house children's play cafe.

Kids were enjoying the under play area for 3 hours and than singing and eating, being absolutely enthusiastic about the Volcano Dinosaur cake and the Noddy cake I made for his party. He is obsessed with Dinosaurs, after being a big fun of Noddy for 2 years,LOL.

Of course, I got the idea from my friend Sharon that made one for her grandkid too. She explained to me how to make the great lava volcano cake with dry ice, but unfortunately we weren't able to find the dry ice here at the moment, so will try it next time;)So, I put some firework sticks in the volcano hole and I think it left a great impact on kids too.

We had great time and he was so happy with the party and presents, as well;)I'm sure we are ready to open the Dinosaur toy museum now;)
